We have 2 political parties, they are both corrupt, so voting doesn’t work. There are tiny minor parties, people won’t vote for them because it would ‘waste their vote’.

So Occupy Wall Street is trying to change things. Except somehow they have decided that rather than haing a massive input into the political system, such as launching a large 3rd party, they would rather camp out indefinitely and discuss lots of long complicated resolutions.

Meanwhile most people are busy with their lives and don’t care about what’s going wrong. They want to vote and let somebody else work out the details, and they keep voting for people who say they will reform things, but then turn out to be corrupt.

So here we are.
